Lisa Chao, RN, BSN, CON(c)

Lisa has been a chemotherapy nurse at the Richmond Hospital Cancer Care clinic since 2002. From 2010 to 2023, Lisa was the Clinical Resource Nurse where she played a key role in patient care coordination, patient and staff education, and drug access navigation. Prior to finding her passion in oncology nursing, Lisa has a strong background in medicine and critical care.

Michelle Forman, RN, CON(c)

Michelle has been working in the outpatient oncology clinic at Burnaby Hospital since 1995, and prior to that had worked in various areas throughout the hospital. Her current role includes administering chemotherapy, patient teaching and management of disease symptoms and treatment side effects Michelle is passionate about oncology nursing and feels that her knowledge and experience play an integral role in helping to provide for the physical and emotional patient care needs. Michelle has also enjoyed the opportunity to be involved in many projects aiming to enhance the cancer patients experience as well as educating fellow oncology nurses.

Julie Groundwater, RN

Julie is a Registered Nurse with 29 years of front line clinical experience. She started her career in Orthopaedics, and completed her specialty education to work in Critical and Cardiac Care.  In March of 2008, she joined the Oncology team at Lions Gate Hospital administering systemic chemotherapy.  In August of 2017, she accepted the position of the Symptom Management Nurse/drug access navigator in the Outpatient Chemotherapy Clinic at Lions Gate Hospital. Julie finds her role very rewarding helping patients navigate through their cancer treatments with patient teaching, symptom management support and assisting them in accessing new and innovative treatments as they become available in Canada.

Jen Rosychuk, RN, BSc

Jen Rosychuk is the Systemic Therapy Clinical Nurse Leader at with the Vancouver Center BC Cancer Agency. After spending 2 years delivering drug therapies to patients, she made a transition to leading the nursing team in the Systemic Therapy Ambulatory Care Unit. In her role, Jen has been involved with change projects to enhance patient care. Jen has found that her background and passion in immunology and system improvement has led to many nursing project opportunities. You can find her in the garden, on the seawall or sampling Vancouver’s food scene.

Jeremy Allen

Jeremy Allen is a licensed funeral director, embalmer, and owner of Gregory’s Funeral Home in Provost, Alberta but his work reaches far beyond the walls of a funeral home. Jeremy is a passionate advocate for transforming the way we understand death, grief, and the healing power of mourning.

Dr. Mandy Lee B.S.E., M.Ed., D.C

Dr. Mandy Lee is a dedicated chiropractor, lifestyle strategist, and health and wellness coach whose career spans more than 22 years of helping people move, heal, and thrive. Known for her compassionate approach and evidence-informed care, she has empowered thousands of individuals to take control of their health through functional movement, sustainable habits, and holistic wellness practices. But Dr. Lee’s professional journey is only part of her story.

Nine and a half years ago, her world changed with a diagnosis of Stage 3C ovarian cancer—a challenge that tested every part of her mind, body, and spirit. Through courage, resilience, and an unwavering belief in the body’s capacity to heal and the mind’s power to have hope she has fought her way through extensive treatments and emerged not only as a survivor, but as a stronger, more purpose-driven version of herself.

Today, as a 9.5-year ovarian cancer survivor, Dr. Lee channels her experience into her life’s mission: to help others reclaim their health, rediscover their strength, and build lives they love living. Her chiropractic and coaching practices integrates mindset, movement, and lifestyle transformation, inspiring clients to make meaningful changes and cultivate long-term vitality.

With her trademark empathy and expertise, Dr. Mandy Lee continues to lead by example—proving that healing is possible, growth is limitless, and adversity can be a powerful catalyst for becoming the healthiest, most resilient version of oneself.

Dr. Janine Mazengarb MD MBChB, FRACP 

Dr. Janine Mazengarb is a cardiologist who completed her FRACP in Auckland, New Zealand. She completed a fellowship in Advanced echocardiography in Vancouver and is currently pursuing a combined fellowship in Cardiac Amyloidosis and Cardio-Oncology at Vancouver General Hospital and Saint Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver. Her clinical and research interests include advanced cardiac imaging, the cardiovascular effects of cancer therapy, and the management of cardiac amyloidosis.
